Celebrate Lactose Intolerance
Milk consumption is one of the engines of the global increase in human height. Therefore we should be grateful for lactose intolerance (the inability to digest milk). It’s what’s keeping people from all over the world from an even more devastating and pointless growth in size. Such an important contribution to a sustainable planet cannot not remain unnoticed. Up to 90% of all Chinese are lactose intolerant. The Incredible Shrinking man organized a lactose intolerance party in Beijing to recognize this.
Unfortunately China is also a battleground market for the international dairy industry. In the wake of the 2008 milk scandal China is heavily targeted by the aggressive marketing of American, Australian and European dairy companies for market share. Chinese milk consumption has seen an annual 10% growth under the faulty assumptions that it is healthy. One elderly Chinese lady described the increase in dairy products in Chinese supermarkets as a milk tsunami.
