Pantalones cortos. Kawaii!
Taipei...

I'm on an island. A large island, but an island.
It rains hard, just have a typhoon and monsoon rain continued.
My first time in the tropics, a slap of wet heat. Sweating, sandals to walk among the streets flooded.
And signs, placards, dozens of them, each house as a giant flyer or 3D brochure by largest fonts.
Chinese, Taiwanese. The language is so ubiquitous that in two days I have begun to understand at least a few characters.
Street food Night Markets. The library of the University of Taiwan. The girls with mask on the subway. Shorts. Kawaii!
Taipei ...
