Musique moléculaire: Laurent Duthion

water, protein, glass bottle, 2001 and 2007.
Proteins are made of a group of amino acids, each one producing a wave of quantum nature called « scaling wave » by Joël Sternheimer. Each different amino-acid having a specific vibration, we obtain therefore a genuine musical score wich is played at a molecular level and whose frequencies can be transposed as musical notes. Sometimes the protein music can cross the human repertoire. This is the case of the ATP6 protein of the sunflower wich correponds at a extract of the well known italian song O sole mio.
